Todd Smithline is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Bonterms.
Todd has been designing, negotiating and teaching contracts for nearly thirty years.
Todd was General Counsel of Marimba, an enterprise software company he helped lead from start-up to successful public company. After Marimba Todd founded Smithline PC, a boutique technology transactions firm that represented category-leading Silicon Valley software/SaaS, platform and device companies and pioneered fixed-fee subscription billing. Todd started his legal career with Latham & Watkins and Gunderson Dettmer.
Todd teaches at UC Berkeley School of Law and is a board member or advisor to multiple start-ups.
Todd is a graduate of Tufts University and UCLA School of Law.
Chris Walker is Co-Founder and Head of Product at Bonterms.
Chris has over a decade of experience in enterprise software. As a product leader at Palantir Technologies, Chris led teams building analytics software for Fortune 500 customers in the Banking, Oil & Gas, and Health Insurance sectors. Following Palantir, Chris held product leadership positions at DataFox, Oracle and DraftWise, a legal tech startup.
Chris is a graduate of Stanford University.
Stephanie Woodworth is Head of Community at Bonterms where she oversees Bonterms’ community of users, Committee members and technology partners.
Stephanie is the former Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Financial Engines and former General Counsel of Thread Robotics. Stephanie also spent nearly two decades as strategic outside counsel to EdTech and FinTech companies including Coursera and Financial Engines. Stephanie began her career with the firms Dechert and Heller Ehrman.
Stephanie is a graduate of Georgetown University and Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
Derek Schwede is an Advisor to Bonterms and Co-Lead of its Open Source Forms Committee.
Derek is Head of Legal at Modern Treasury, a fintech payments software company. Derek was previously a principal at Smithline PC, a boutique technology transactions firm where he represented category-leading Silicon Valley software/SaaS, platform and device companies. Derek began his legal career with Morrison & Foerster.
Derek teaches at UC Hastings School of Law and is a graduate of Rice University and Harvard Law School.
