Bonterms Standard Agreements in Google Cloud Marketplace
Google Cloud Marketplace offers three Bonterms Standard Agreements as ready-to-use legal options for transactions between providers and their customers:
Bonterms Standard End User Agreement — a balanced end-user license for software and SaaS products
Bonterms Standard Reseller Agreement — a one-click reseller agreement covering transactions between partners within the Marketplace
Bonterms Professional Services Agreement — for professional services engagements
Partners can use these agreements for both standard public listings and private offers. All three are free to use and licensed under the open-source document license CC BY-ND.
Why does this matter?
Negotiating custom legal agreements is slow and expensive for both providers and their customers. Bonterms Standard Agreements were developed by a committee of 120 lawyers to reflect industry best practices and fairly balance the interests of both sides.
For customers, a Bonterms agreement is one you only need to review once. Once familiar with the baseline terms, purchasing any product that uses them becomes significantly faster.
For providers (ISVs), adopting a Bonterms agreement signals that your terms are fair, open, and ready to transact — removing a common friction point in the sales process.
